So, I don't follow sports much and definitely not the Pacers. So it was a bit of a surprise for me today when I read Cathy's column only to find out that there is a film called "Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. the New York Knicks." Really?! This "film" premeire, a red carpet event, is being turned into a fundraiser.
Now, I'm always down for a fundraiser, especially one that supports Riley Hospital, but I guess I don't really care to read about all the "stars" that are suppose to show up - Doug Collins and Larry Bird. I think this shouldn't have been a column until after the fundraiser on Friday - who even knows what is really going to happen. But that's just my opinion. Besides this column would be so much better if I knew who showed up and how much money they raised for the fundraiser.
What I hated most about this column - no quotes, and no sources. Not only is this not news worthy it's not even worth the space or the time especially when I don't even know where Cathy got her information. I guess I was just dissapointed tonight after reading what I thought was going to be an interesting column.
